Dr Mansoor Parker obtained his medical degree from the University of Tasmania. He then completed his specialist radiology training at Nepean Hospital, Sydney with subspecialty interests in Interventional Radiology and Pain Management, Musculoskeletal, Cardiac and Abdominal Imaging. Dr Parker is a qualified specialist since 2005 and is a member of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists and the exclusive Australasian Musculoskeletal Imaging Group (AMSIG) as well as the Interventional Radiology Society of Australasia (IRSA).
Dr Parker has completed his Masters Training in Cardiac CT (Level B) and CT Colonography. He has also completed CT Colonography and Cardiac CT Angiography Accreditation obtaining Level 2 Society of Cardiovascular CT (CTCA), the highest level available in Australia. He sits on the board of directors of Australian Diagnostic Imaging Associated (ADIA) and is a committee member of the Medical Imaging Accreditation Scheme Advisory Committee (MIASAC) as part of the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care.
Dr Mansoor Parker has been involved in developing CT Colonography software used on many CT machines today. Dr Parker is the founding partner of Quantum Radiology (founded in 2005) and serves in the position of the Chair of the Doctors Management Committee (DMC) at the Quantum Medscan Radiology Group

Reflecting on a pivotal year for pharmacy
Dr. Kate Wang, a Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy at RMIT University and Adjunct Senior Lecturer, University of Western Australia, has over a decade of experience in both hospital and community pharmacy settings.

Surgical Site Infection (SSI) Synopsis, including modifiable and non-modifiable risk factors
Talking to the Australian Health Journal, Professor Russo states there is a particular concern in joint operations, such as hip or knee replacements, as infections in these areas can have severe consequences, including the removal of the infected joint, prolonged treatment, and significant costs for both hospitals and patients. Despite the substantial impact of surgical site infections, Australia lacks a national surveillance program for these infections, making it challenging to obtain accurate data. However, an estimate suggests that around 45,000 surgical site infections occur annually in Australia, resulting in approximately 900 deaths.

The quest to create an Australian framework for a Palliative Care Pharmacist
Helen Stone is the State and Territory Manager SA & NT for the Pharmaceutical Society Australia. Her professional interests include palliative care, pharmacist professional services, mental health, leadership, and management.
She has recently led teams of pharmacists in innovative pharmacy practice models including in aged care, GP practice, palliative care and dementia support. This has contributed to the body of evidence for sustainable funding for embedded pharmacist roles in primary care and aged care settings.
