Now a Senior Associate who migrated from Serbia in 2014, Danica is a former Eurovision Song Contest singer and musician. Yes, you read that right! Hear about her story doing a PhD in Pharmacology at The University of Melbourne and starting her career in healthcare. Recently she performed at the ARCS Australia Dinner, reflecting her musical background remaining part of her life. Danica’s story shows the vibrancy of the Australian health sector. Earlier this month, ARCS Australia held it’s Annual Conference at the International Convention Centre Sydney – ICC Sydney, with the theme of putting patients at the centre of healthcare. Uniquely, the conference included a number of patients who attended, presented or were referenced.
Dental Health Services Victoria has implemented a value based health model for oral health, around the patient and the clinician that included both during co-design. This has been possible with a single oral health data system for the state of Victoria and staff keeping in mind the value and outcomes that patients seek.
